How can I create and remember strong passwords?
Creating and remembering strong passwords can be a challenge. One solution is to use a password manager, a software program that helps you create, store, and manage your passwords. Computer Link Northwest has used several password managers in the past. Our current in-house password manager is Bitwarden. If you are looking for a full-featured password manager, we highly recommend it.

How to use Pashword
Connect to the password website at https://pashword.clnw.io. Once you get to the website you will need to enter three pieces of information to create you unique password for use on a site. The first item is the address of the site you are creating the password for. It doesn’t really matter what you enter here, but it is important to enter something that you will remember later when you try to retrieve the password. I usually just use the domain name for the website I am accessing. Next you will enter your username for that site. Normally this is your email address, but it can sometimes be your name or a nickname. Finally, enter your Secret Key. It is recommended that this key is the same for all passwords you create so you don’t forget it, but it doesn’t have to be.
Once you have entered the three values, you can choose the length of your password and then click “Get Pashword’. It will create a unique password based on the information you have submitted. Copy that password and then use that for your website. Do not bother writing down that password, but instead, if you have a notebook for passwords you will need to write down the values you used to create the password. Later when you need to retrieve the password you will go back to pashword.clnw.io and enter those values, and your secret Key to have your password revealed to you.
